Learning & Development Promotion, Planning & Funding:
  • Organize information sessions on available and new learning & development initiatives as needed.
  • Create a business training calendar for regulatory and group trainings aligned with approved workplace skills plans.
Apprenticeships/Learnerships/Internships/Candidacy & Skills Programmes Implementation & Administration:
  • Assist in developing training and development plans for learners and conduct learners' induction.
  • Prepare and organize learner agreement packs and skills programme enrolment packs for use during learner registration with the SETAs.
  • Coordinate learner progress assessments and monitor completion of assessments.
  • Evaluate competency levels of learners and arrange stipend adjustments based on competence.
In-house, External Training and Bursaries Processing and Administration:
  • Manage logistical arrangements for training sessions on site and supervise implementation.
  • Collect certificates of competence/attendance and attendance registers upon training completion.
  • Handle payments for approved training programs.
  • Facilitate training sessions on organizational effectiveness activities for stakeholder orientation and new employee induction.
Learning & Development Database Maintenance and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of information and documentation related to learning and development activities.
  • Organize and update a filing system for easy information access by stakeholders.
  • Prepare customized reports on learning and development programs for diverse stakeholders.
  • Consolidate annual training reports and supporting documentation for upload on SETA platform.
Performance Management:
  • Collect performance documents throughout performance management cycle stages and ensure proper completion.
  • Consolidate annual performance data and spreadsheets for calibration sessions.
Rewards & Recognition Coordination:
  • Manage nominations and evaluation processes for awards.
  • Acquire certificates, trophies, and gifts for award winners and distribute as needed.
  • Coordinate annual awards ceremonies.
Job Profiling & Evaluation Administration:


Guide line managers in job profile creation and edit job profiles based on templates when required.

  • Arrange Job Evaluation (JE) Committee meetings and compile job grading reports.
Employment Equity (EE) & Skills Development (SD) Committee Coordination:
  • Compile monthly employment equity and skills development statistics.
  • Lead projects related to EE and SD qualitative objectives.
  • Record minutes for EE & SD Committee meetings.
  • Organize nomination, voting, and appointment processes for Committee Members.
Socio-Economic Development:
  • Assist in finalizing contractual agreements and processing school fees payments.
Qualifications:
  • National Diploma in Human Resource Development or related field.
  • Certificate in Skills Development Facilitator training preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years coordinating Learning & Development in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in compiling and submitting Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports to SETAs.
  • Familiarity with SAP and advanced MS Excel.
Knowledge:
  • Understanding of relevant acts such as Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Act, Skills Development Levies Act, and BBBEE Act.
  • Knowledge of human resource management value chain.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Skills in training coordination, project execution, and event management.
  • Effective communication, logical reasoning, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
