Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Strategy Development:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive revenue management strategy tailored to the unique characteristics of a game lodge, considering seasonal trends, wildlife viewing opportunities, and market demand.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and guest demographics to identify opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Pricing and Inventory Management:
  • Set and adjust room rates, packages, and promotions to optimize revenue and occupancy levels.
  • Implement dynamic pricing strategies based on demand patterns, special events, and seasonal variations.
  • Manage room inventory effectively to maximize revenue potential.
  • Distribution Channel Optimization:
  • Oversee the distribution strategy, including partnerships with online travel agencies (OTAs), tour operators, and other relevant channels.
  • Implement strategies to drive direct bookings and reduce reliance on thirdparty channels.
  • Forecasting and Analysis:
  • Develop accurate revenue forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and upcoming events.
  • Conduct regular analysis of revenue performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaboration with Sales and Marketing:
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align revenue strategies with promotional activities and marketing campaigns.
  • Provide input on pricing and positioning for new offerings and experiences.
  • Data Management:
  • Utilize revenue management systems and tools to gather, analyze, and interpret data for decisionmaking.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all revenuerelated systems.
  • Training and Development:
  • Train and mentor staff on revenue management best practices and procedures.
  • Stay informed about industry advancements and share knowledge with the team.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare regular reports on revenue performance, occupancy, and other key metrics for senior management.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Revenue Manager in a luxury hospitality setting, preferably with experience in a game lodge or similar wildlifefocused accommodation.
  • Indepth knowledge of revenue management principles, tools, and systems.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and revenue management software.
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field.
