  • ACS is an airtime or data advance offered to prepaid mobile subscribers at the point of low credit.

As a FinTech company, our business is entirely technology and data driven, from determining subscriber eligibility, generating relevant offers, managing risk, loan issuance, recovery, optimizing performance and reporting, reconciliation and billing.

Each day we process approximately 21M loan requests and 1.4 TB of data across our markets. This process needs to be robust, reliable, and secure.

But it doesn't end there. We're exploring new ways of using our platform and transactional data to improve our products and develop new product opportunities

About the role
The VP Sales Africa will hunt for new customers across the region. The person will need to be target driven and have a passion and ownership to deliver numbers. This will be a hands-on role with deep involvement in execution, leading from the front.

Key responsibilities

  • Creating and executing the overall sales and business development plan for Ezra across Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Hands on management of the endtoend sales cycle, including lead generation, managing live accounts, and working closely with C suites to close deals
  • Developing and managing strategic partnerships with PSP's, Acquirers, Banks, and other financial institutions
  • Support customer requests and exploring new opportunities to add value to the position
  • Ensure excellent communication and internal coordination to rollout new services taking into accounts market specificity (regulation, competition etc.)
  • Attend tradeshows, source leads, follow sales process and report back to sales management team
  • Ensure all specific reporting within required time frame including full use of CRM tool with precision
  • Provide timely feedback to line manager about performance, sales activity, account management and strategy
  • Ensure account retention, contractual health, wellbeing, and maximum satisfaction of clients
  • Initiate and maintain a strong link between customers and backoffice services to ease communication and facilitate the resolution of any issues
  • Identify trends by researching industry, related events, and announcements
  • Effectively communicate the needs of your customers to the support team

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree
- ~10+ years of experience in business development with 5+ years direct or indirect work experience in the Money Transfer or Mobile Financial Services Industry

  • Handson, driven B2B salesperson from the fintech/payments world, especially selling to PSPs
  • Resultsoriented with great skills in communication, organization, and negotiation
  • Great networking skills
  • CRM proficiency, Salesforce CRM knowledge is a plus
  • Flexible, selfmotivated, disciplined, takes ownership of job at hand
  • Teamoriented, able to accept and create change
  • Strong understanding of customer, market dynamics and requirements
  • Ensure effective working relationships with all relevant clients/partners, third parties and internal colleagues
  • Strong sense of initiative and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Fluent in English & French, other languages are a bonus
