Role Overview

Collaborate with the global marketing team, regional sales units, and various departments to execute marketing and communication strategies aimed at enhancing brand visibility, customer engagement, and conversion rates, ultimately driving market share and customer loyalty. This position also entails providing executive assistance to the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing

Design, implement, and monitor marketing strategies. Partner with internal teams (such as product and sales) to develop and assess marketing initiatives for the African markets. Coordinate with marketing teams across African countries for regional marketing efforts. Collaborate with external marketing agencies to establish and manage the annual budget and marketing materials, in consultation with the VP and internal content creators. Conduct market analysis to identify emerging marketing opportunities. Assist in creating marketing collateral and liaise with global teams to ensure the sales units have the necessary resources. Organize and manage marketing events, exhibitions, and trade shows. Work with the global marketing team to promote African content and narratives through various channels. Lead initiatives to enhance Net Promoter Score (NPS) by utilizing CRM tools and coordinating efforts to boost response rates and feedback. Engage in additional CRM-related projects.

Communications

Draft and disseminate internal communications to relevant stakeholders through designated channels. Collaborate with management to curate content that keeps the organization informed about significant changes and updates. Provide logistical support for internal communication webinars. Develop and prepare materials for internal communication sessions. Propose and create internal communication strategies to foster effective communication within the organization.

Executive Assistance

Offer organized and proactive support to the Managing Directors and senior executive team. Assist in managing schedules, coordinating meetings and events, and communicating with both internal and external stakeholders, along with various administrative tasks. Prepare materials for meetings and ensure all necessary documentation is in order. Arrange travel and manage travel logistics for the executive team.

Qualifications & Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business administration is preferred. Other relevant qualifications, such as a Diploma or Certificate in Marketing or Communications, will also be considered if accompanied by suitable experience. A minimum of 2 years of corporate experience in a similar marketing and communications role. Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is advantageous.

Effective time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines. Proficient in MS Office applications. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Strong interpersonal skills. Capability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Project management proficiency. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
