The main purpose:

The Sales Executive:

Exhibitions and New Events is responsible for all exhibition and sponsorship sales for the CTICC's Consumer and Trade Exhibitions.

Work with a team which will consist of Manager:
Exhibitions and New Events and the Operations Services Executive.

Reporting To The:
Manager: Exhibitions and New Events

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Research relevant exhibitors and sponsors for Consumer and Trade Shows.
  • Write sales proposals to potential clients based on their needs.
  • Facetoface and telephonic selling exhibition and sponsorship packages based on show proposition.
  • Account management of specific key clients for event products: increase their spend, understand their needs and goals and work on a plan that will add value to them.
  • Generate pavilions from identified countries and work with trade organisations to further improve our positioning for event products.
  • Develop new key accounts.
  • Achieve and exceed personal and show targets.
  • Work with marketing and operations on ongoing initiatives that may involve the development of target campaigns and collateral.
  • Update CRM systems with relevant client's details.
  • Minimum of 8 new pitches per day and 40 per week (to new clients).
  • Writing and sending of daily report.
  • Daily update of sales pipelines.

Minimum qualifications and experience required:

  • Matric certificate (NQF Level 4).
  • Certificate in Events Management, Tourism or Hospitality (NQF level 5).
  • At least five years' proven experience selling exhibitions and trade shows.
  • Proven record of achieving sales targets.
  • Proven relationships with sporting equipment, technology, apparel suppliers, agents, manufacturers and distributors will be considered advantageous.
