Distribution Administrator

- Building strong relationships with service providers
- Assisting customers queries regarding delivery status
- Managing all admin relating to the position
- Assist with stocktake capturing when needed.
- After hours availability.
- Administration pertaining to fleet maintenance.
- Support and Liaise with operations team.
- Propose and investigate cost saving initiatives.
- Prepare orders and assign responsibilities to teams on a daily basis.
- Ensure that all logistics paperwork is prepared accurately by team and produced in a timely manner.
- Prepare weekly timesheets for signoff by department managers.
- Review all PODs and related documents for completeness and accuracy before invoicing
- Issue purchase orders to vendors (transporters, warehousesetc.)
- Preparation of other ad hoc reports and analysis as required
Requirements:
- Matric
- Drivers Licence
- Industry experience in logistics and distribution essential
- Experience with reviewing truck manifests, bills of lading, POD's documents essential
- Strong MS Excel skills essential
- Warehousing experience
- Strong systems knowledge (Pastel will be advantageous)
- Process orientated with a good attention to detail
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks in fast changing environment
- Must be able to work under pressure and adhere to aggressive deadlines
- Strong communication skills
