Administrative Assistant needed for hardware store in Parktown North
Duties for this position include - but is not limited to:

  • Basic bookkeeping
  • Capturing expense invoices
  • Managing petty cash
  • Supervising cashiers
  • Assist with payroll preparation
  • Managing stationery
  • Capturing purchase orders
  • Assist with stock takes
  • Assist with creditors reconciliations
  • Assist stock management department
  • Filing
  • General assistant to directors
  • General assistance required in retail store
Working hours are Monday-Friday 07:30 - 17:30

Some overtime may be required from time to time, depending on the store's needs.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English (be able to correspond with customers, suppliers and staff professionally)
  • Punctuality, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Fast learner
  • Be able to perform under pressure
  • Be able to work without supervision
  • Valid driver's license and own transport
  • Computer literate in Excel, Word, Outlook and the Internet
  • Experience in Bookkeeping or Accounting
  • Experience as a Supervisor
  • Experience in Petty Cash management
  • Experience as a Creditors, Purchasing or Receiving Clerk
  • Experience in the Hardware Industry
  • Experience in working with Office 365, Teams, IQ Retail

Salary:
R4, R9,000.00 per month

Education:

  • High School (matric) (required)

License/Certification:
- drivers license (preferred)
