VACANCY - Head of Department: Stores
A well-established packaging manufacturer has a vacancy for a Head of Department: Stores. The role is based in Cape Town, Southern Suburbs and will report to the Finance Manager.

The job requirements and duties are as follows:
l Oversee the movement of raw materials and finished goods within and outside the warehouse environment.

l Ensure that the documentation and labeling between departments is done accurately to ensure efficient dispatch preparation.


l Ensure that the storage and movement of all products are done so at the lowest cost while maintaining accepted quality standards.

l Oversee the receipt and secure storage of Work-In-Progress (WIP) and finished goods between departments.

l Manage the loading and offloading of trucks and monitor key factors such as damaged goods and on-time dispatch.

l Ensure that sufficient and correct raw materials are issued to production.

l Ensure that the stock areas and equipment are clean and in good working order at all times.

l Manage stock room personnel to ensure maximum attendance and departmental efficiency.

Minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 matric certificate (nonnegotiable)
  • Post matric qualification
  • Experience in the plastics manufacturing industry a huge advantage
