chemical or pharmaceutical or cosmetics or biotech or consumer goods or food & beverage - FMCG)

Overview:

Our client is seeking to employ a proactive, and detail orientated Head of Department: Human Capital to their team.

You will have demonstrated Human Resources Operational and Strategic expertise gained in the manufacturing sector in a company that is upscaling.

With the completion of their new facility underway they seek a suitable candidate with demonstrated expertise gained in planning and running optimisation projects and with strong Change Management skills and the ability to be innovative and see the bigger picture.

The company is also expanding employment across the SA continent and seeking guidance on international recruitment from senior HR level.


Qualification / Experience Requirements, but not limited to:
Degree in Human Resources/Human Capital Management - similar suitable degree that is advantageous and related to HR Over 8 years suitable experience in Human Capital management, and 3 years at team business management level Proven leadership in business pertaining to Human Capital Management and HC projects including optimisation projects gained in Manufacturing industry (Industries Manufacturing local in SA in the following sectors e

g:
chemical or pharmaceutical or cosmetics or biotech or consumer goods or food & beverage – FMCG)


Current knowledge of HR practices, strategy, and technology and expertise in Human Capital policy and process development Skilled in change leadership and organizational change management Proficient in business writing, metrics development, and management / board-level reporting.

Expertise of South Africa's Labour Legislation, with practical experience in Industrial Relations and representation Lead company's Human Capital Strategy with strategic direction Implement people strategy through robust HC infrastructure Ensure ongoing professional and personal development Manage HC team capacity for optimal business partnering Develop policies aligning with employee value proposition Handle comprehensive costing, budgeting, and expense management Monitor cost-effective HRIS systems for culture transformation Oversee organizational structuring to alleviate bottlenecks Conduct job evaluations, grading, and market benchmarking Attract and place talent aligned with culture and fit Ensure seamless performance management with transformative KPIs Oversee wellness programs supporting high performance Optimize BBBEE contribution in management control and skills development Prioritize talent retention through rewards and career development Maintain employee relations and HR compliance Oversee industrial relations and external representation Monitor and maintain company culture Execute internal communications plans with Corporate Brand team Deliver people-centric solutions to foster culture and retain talent Position company as an employer of choice and execution of People strategy/Value proposition staying ahead of competitors and business information and trends and ensuring the success thereof Scope, launch, and monitor HC projects innovatively Guidance on international recruitment planning and implementation Lead and build Human Capital operations and structure, ensuring scalability Project management for HC optimization and practice continuous improvement initiatives with the ability to be agile to change Oversee talent development Learning and development skills exposure Strong operational and strategic HR approach with expertise in change management Ensure your collaboration and temporary role compression within the HR team for project completion Drive growth and development within the HR team, ensuring agility and effective decision-making Creative risk mitigation to retain scarce skills Ability to strategically communicate effectively with management, providing insight on the best way forward Maintain professional assertiveness and ability to see the bigger picture Ensure partial payroll outsourcing and related compliance Application Instructions:
