A stunning 5* Hotel in Cape Town are currently looking for an experienced ASSISTANT REVENUE MANAGER to join their team to optimise the efficiency of the Revenue & Reservations Department by providing key liaison support.

ALL INTERESTED CANDIDATES MUST ALREADY HOLD A POSITION OF RESERVATIONS MANAGER & MUST HAVE 5* EXPERIENCE

KEY RESPONSIBLITTIES

  • Maintain an efficient administration system within the department.
  • Ensure an efficient and accurate system, both manual and electronic for maintaining record of key data and documentation.
  • Takes responsibility for the smooth and efficient operation of the Reservations department.
  • Takes accountability for the performance of the reservations department.
  • Assist the Group Revenue Manager with generation of departmental reports.
  • Develop optimised rate recommendations for the Hotel on a daily basis.
  • In order to recommend effective rates and strategies, the Ass Revenue Manager must perform ongoing exhaustive and rigorous statistical analysis of the following data:
  • Historical demand;
  • Regional, seasonal and competitive influences by market segment;
  • Profit performance;
  • Price sensitivity of market segments and markets, and
  • Demand and reservation costs across multiple sales channels.
  • Assist with annual Rates contracting for Leisure, Corporate & Production customers
  • Communicate promotions, special offers, packages and client booking incentives externally and internally to all relevant team members.
  • Assist with accurately maintaining all trade client records, files and correspondence, both electronic and hard copy files as requested in order to monitor and develop our client databases to ensure effective mailings & correct client history
  • To have full product knowledge of Hotel Group portfolio
  • Assist the Group Revenue Manager with day to day tasks
  • Update STR daily with a comparison on the MPI, RPI and API
  • Assist with the S&M Budget process and each Hotels S&M yearly plan
  • Assist with the 13month rolling demand calendar
  • Complete the Monthly reports
  • Take minutes at all Pricing & Sales Meetings, as well as financial & PF reviews (this will include travelling every month with the Revenue Manager to the other hotels)
  • Evaluate performance of distribution partners and contracted rates (OTA, FIT, tour operator, corporate, groups, etc ).
  • Daily comp analysis report
  • Six months forecast when the Revenue Manager is unavailable to do it
  • Monthly 8year Nationality comparison with ADR, Revenue, REVPAR and Trevpar
  • Comparison on KPI
  • Comparison on SU & PS sales vs DB & LD
  • Update PF on strat pack every month with new formulas
  • Awareness of competitors' activities and pricing strategy
  • Awareness of business trends by market segment
Admin & General

  • To manage workload effectively
  • To ensure appearance is in accordance with company policy
  • To share ideas and problems with colleagues and encourage their input to help make decisions where possible
  • To act in a fair, consistent and responsible way
  • To attend meetings as required
  • To have clear working knowledge of all company policies and operate within them at all times.
  • To undertake any other duties including operational tasks on property as and when required by Senior Management
