Well known national organisation who offer a variety of services requires a Business Development Executive for the Johannesburg Branch.

Education and Experience Required
Matric is essential
Tertiary qualification (preferred but not essential)
Computer literate on MS Office
Minimum of 5 years’ sales experience within the "service industry" is required, preferably from a solution contract sales industry
Experience in selling soft services / similar services required from either security or cleaning services
Proven track record is essential especially with new business development
Ability to cross-sell a variety of services offered

Valid Driver’s License
Own Vehicle

Key Areas of Responsibility
Works with a defined sales quota focusing on initiating relationships with multi-level decision-makers through phone, marketing, e-mail / direct mail campaigns, in-person contacts / cold calling, networking, and presentations
Achieving monthly sales targets as set out in budget
Correctly cost new business achieving the maximum margin on new business
Ensure contracts are correctly signed and filed for new business
Planning, setting budgets and targets
Prepare quotes and present them to clients as soon as possible to meet the client’s expectations
Prepare proposals which clearly set out the terms and conditions for the proposed contract / tender
Prospecting potential customers within the target profile
Develop, build and maintain strong relationships with potential customers

Develop innovative and creative solutions to identify and develop new clients
Proposes and closes sales to achieve set company budgets
Sustains sales activities, appointments, proposals, cold calls, database updates and reporting
Keeps abreast of changes in technology and ability to increase knowledge of the industry and services the company offers
PRO at client functions
Maintain contact with existing clients and develop new business
Timeous handling of queries
Planning weekly sales prospects
Setting appointments
Prepare and present weekly/monthly sales reports at month end / weekly sales meetings
Survey prospective clients’ premises and compile quotations based on an agreed working rate per square meter as per specifications
The incumbent must be able to handle a number of different assignments at the same time. Presentable, well spoken, strong personality, ability to manage timekeeping assertive, goal orientated and own transport essential

Prospect New Business Opportunities: Actively identify and engage potential clients through research, networking, and outreach to generate new business leads
Achieve Sales Budget: Meet or exceed predetermined sales targets and budgets consistently, contributing to the overall revenue growth of the organization
Build and Maintain Client Relationships: Develop and sustain long-lasting relationships with clients to understand their needs, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business
Conduct Market Research: Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities and enhance strategic planning
Prepare and Deliver Presentations: Create persuasive presentations and proposals tailored to clients’ requirements, effectively communicating the value of our products / services
Negotiate Contracts: Engage in negotiations with clients to finalize terms, pricing, and contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with company policies
Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align business development strategies with overall company objectives
Monitor Sales Performance: Track and analyze sales metrics, providing regular reports to management to assess performance against goals and identify areas for improvement
Participate in Networking Events: Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build professional relationships and enhance brand visibility
Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of industry developments and emerging trends to stay competitive and provide informed recommendations to clients
