Technical Sales Business Development

Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the technical industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Understand client needs and provide appropriate technical solutions.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business growth targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing technical solutions for their water treatment needs.
- Act as a point of contact for customers, responding to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
- Learn and demonstrate knowledge of products and services, including water filtration, desalination, and wastewater treatment.
- Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations to clients using prescribed templates and procedures.
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions.
- Ensure communications and documentation comply with the company's ISO and Business Development procedures.
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 3 – 5 years of proven experience in a technical business development/sales role, preferably within the water treatment or related industry.
- Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple project enquiries simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and potentially internationally.
- Participation in trade shows.
- Assist the Business Development department manager in reporting information for company purposes.
