The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new business through sales efforts. You will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the company's market share in energy products.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify growth areas, emerging trends, and potential business opportunities.
  • Generate leads, approach new clients, and present company products and services.
  • Maintain an updated pipeline of potential customers and industry contacts.
  • Work with product management teams to assess new product opportunities and enhance existing offerings.
  • Assist in pricing strategy based on market trends and business analysis.
  • Create sales objectives and develop action plans to achieve targets.
  • Draft and present quotes, proposals, and business cases to clients.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote brand awareness.
  • Provide after-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, within the scope of the role.
  • Travel in the Western and Eastern Cape will be required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in the energy or electrical industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Low, Medium & High Voltage Energy products and electrical components.
  • Proven experience in customer relationship management and sales growth.
  • Experience calling on Municipalities and Government entities.
  • Excellent market research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Netsuite will be an advantage.
  • Cold calling and the ability to engage with senior leadership/decision makers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, meet targets, and drive business expansion.
  • Ability to process quotations and manage pricing challenges.
  • Occasional deliveries within the CBD and Outskirts.
  • Own reliable transport.
  • Office location is in Rustdal, Kuilsriver.
