Key Account Manager – Independently Owned Businesses

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Account Management for IOBs:

o Build and maintain strong relationships with owners and decision-makers at independently owned businesses in Gauteng.

o Develop and execute account-specific plans to maximize sales and brand visibility.

  1. Distributor Relationship Management:

o Act as the primary liaison for distributors.

o Negotiate agreements, manage stock levels, and ensure alignment with company objectives.

o Monitor distributor performance and implement corrective measures as needed.

  1. Sales Growth and Market Expansion:

o Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the products footprint in the independent and distributor channels.

o Achieve sales targets, focusing on volume, revenue, and profitability goals.

  1. Strategic Planning and Execution:

o Develop and implement tailored strategies for IOBs and distributors to drive growth in TVs, audio, and laser cinema categories.

o Collaborate with the Sales Director to align on overall business objectives and priorities.

  1. Brand Visibility and Merchandising:

o Ensure brand consistency and premium in-store execution across IOBs and distributors.

o Work with the marketing team to implement promotions, activations, and merchandising campaigns.

  1. Training and Support:

o Provide regular training to sales teams at IOBs and distributors to improve product knowledge and sales skills.

o Support distributors and IOBs with product demonstrations and technical expertise.

  1. Data Analysis and Reporting:

o Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and generate actionable insights.

o Prepare and present regular reports, including sales forecasts, stock management updates, and market insights.

  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

o Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless account management.

Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in key account management, with a strong preference for experience managing independently owned businesses and/or distributors in consumer electronics.


• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.


• Willingness to travel extensively within Gauteng and occasionally across South Africa.


• Knowledge of the consumer electronics market and distributor networks is an advantage
