1. Role Purpose

The
Sales Manager
is responsible for driving revenue growth across ADEI's product suite, with a primary focus on:

  • WhatsApp Chatbot Solutions
    (Meta-approved, multi-tenant, contact-centre automation, WhatsApp Calling)
  • BI Platform
    (Dashboards, client performance analytics, operational monitoring)
  • Scoring Intelligence
    (Predictive models for collections and credit risk)

The role involves
strategic sales leadership
,
pipeline management
,
client acquisition
, and
relationship management
in the
Debt Collection, Call Centre, Financial Services, Retail Credit, Telco
, and
Fintech
industries.

The Sales Manager will own the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing—and ensure deep client adoption, onboarding, and long-term retention.

2. Key Responsibilities

2.1 Sales Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute a
    sales strategy
    aligned with ADEI's revenue and market expansion goals.
  • Build strong positioning for ADEI's WhatsApp, BI, and Scoring products within the SA market.
  • Identify high-value verticals: Debt Collection, Call Centres, Retailers, Banks, Fintech, Telcos, Lenders.
  • Manage the full sales pipeline, including forecasting, reporting, and CRM updates.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.

2.2 New Business Development

  • Conduct outbound prospecting via email, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, networking events, and industry forums.
  • Engage inbound leads generated by marketing and product campaigns.
  • Deliver high-impact product demos showcasing Chatbot flow automation, WhatsApp Calling, BI dashboards, and Scoring use cases.
  • Prepare and present proposals, pricing structures, and commercial agreements.

2.3 Client Relationship Management

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients (CEOs, Ops Managers, CIOs, Head of Collections, Call Centre Managers).
  • Develop a deep understanding of client operations and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Work with ADEI onboarding and technical teams to ensure smooth deployment.
  • Maintain high client satisfaction and drive renewal/expansion revenue.

2.4 Product Knowledge & Consulting

  • Become an expert in:
  • WhatsApp Chatbots (flows, templates, automation, integrations, WhatsApp Calling)
  • BI Dashboards (agent performance, collections KPIs, operational analytics)
  • Scoring Intelligence
  • Identify client-specific challenges and position ADEI's products as the solution.
  • Provide input to Product teams on market trends, client needs, and new feature opportunities.

2.5 Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with:
  • Marketing
    : campaigns, website messaging, LinkedIn outreach.
  • Tech Team
    : solution architecture, feasibility, delivery timelines.
  • Operations
    : onboarding, customer support, BI reports rollout.
  • Provide weekly sales reports and KPIs to leadership.

3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Revenue & Pipeline

  • Monthly sales target achievement (new revenue signed).
  • Quarterly pipeline growth.
  • Conversion rate (lead → meeting → proposal → closed).
  • Revenue retention and upsells from existing clients.

Client Engagement

  • Number of qualified meetings booked per week.
  • Average demo rating and post-demo conversion.
  • Time from proposal to close.
  • Client satisfaction score (NPS or internal metric).

Operational

  • CRM hygiene and pipeline accuracy.
  • Completion of weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Collaboration efficiency with onboarding teams (handover quality).

4. Required Skills & Competencies

4.1 Sales & Commercial Skills

  • Proven B2B sales experience (3–7 years) in tech, software, SaaS, or call centre solutions.
  • Strong negotiation and closing ability.
  • Ability to sell complex technical solutions with business value clarity.
  • Excellent presentation skills (virtual & in-person).

4.2 Technical & Product Understanding

Experience in at least 3 of the following is strongly preferred:

  • Call centre technology (PABX, diallers, SIP, VoIP).
  • WhatsApp Business API, chat automation, templates, and flows.
  • BI platforms, SQL data, dashboards, reporting.
  • Predictive modelling, scoring, or debt collection data.
  • SaaS pricing and integrations (APIs, webhooks, CRM).

4.3 Personality & Soft Skills

  • Confident communicator, energetic, and persuasive.
  • Highly organised with excellent follow-up discipline.
  • Problem-solver with strong business acumen.
  • Works well in high-pressure, multi-project environments.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—independent, motivated, target-driven.

5. Qualifications

Minimum

  • Matric + relevant diploma/degree
  • 3+ years B2B sales experience
  • Valid driver's license + own vehicle

Preferred

  • Experience selling to call centres, debt collectors, or financial service providers.
  • Exposure to WhatsApp API, CRM systems, analytics, or machine learning solutions.
  • Strong LinkedIn networking and outbound knowledge.

6. Tools & Systems

The Sales Manager must be comfortable with:

  • CRM (HubSpot / / Zoho)
  • Microsoft Office & PowerPoint
  • WhatsApp templates & Meta Business Manager
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • BI dashboards
  • Basic understanding of APIs and digital platforms
  • Proposal & quoting tools
