Duties & ResponsibilitiesNew Business Acquisition:
- Your primary responsibility will be to drive the acquisition of new personal lines insurance clients. Armed with a proactive and tenacious approach, you will identify and target potential customers through various channels, including referrals, lead generation, networking, and digital outreach.
- Identify opportunities to advise clients on additional benefits available to them with the aim of up-selling their short-term insurance cover.
- Proactively communicate with clients about these opportunities, tailoring recommendations to meet their specific needs.
Client Relationship Management:
- Maintain and develop strong business relationships with existing clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and preferences.
- Provide excellent service levels to these clients through continual communication on all aspects relating to their portfolios.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, offering advice and support to ensure their insurance needs are met.
Service Delivery:
- Deliver accurate, timely, and compliant advice and administration to clients, ensuring all aspects of their policies are managed effectively.
- Liaise with clients regularly to discuss their policies, progress on claims, unpaid debit orders, outstanding requirements, and any other relevant matters.
Record Keeping and Administration:
- Keep meticulous records on Salesforce and Drive of all advice given, communication of information obtained, and changes made to client portfolios.
- Follow up on all instructions sent to insurers to ensure the completion and accuracy of work done, maintaining high standards of service.
Retention Activities:
- Attend to retentions within the Personal Lines Department, managing both telephonic and written communication with clients regarding unpaid debit orders and payment arrangements with insurers.
- Update RD cases and manage the cancellation of policies on our CRM as necessary, ensuring that all client records are accurate and up-to-date.
Training and Development:
- Attend training sessions as required to acquire the necessary accreditation and stay updated on industry standards, regulatory changes, and best practices in personal lines insurance.
Ad-hoc Duties:
- Perform any other duties as required by the Department Head, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the team in various capacities.
Matric Certificate (essential)
FSCA Compliance (essential)
Own Laptop
RE and NQF4 accreditation highly advantageous (depending on date of first appointment)
Minimum of 2 year's experience in generating new business in the personal lines insurance space
Strong communication, interpersonal, and client-service skills
Results-driven, proactive, and able to work independently
Negotiable basic salary + commission
