Introduction
Our Hammarsdale (KZN) based company, which is part of a local têxtile organisation, is seeking to appoint an organised Sales & Marketing Manager to assist in the marketing and selling our company’s products and to create competitive advantages for our company in the market industry. The Sales and Marketing Manager represents the company’s brand and drives strategies to increase product awareness and sales by observing the market, competitors, and industry trends.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the daily management and performance of a sales team to support the sales and marketing plan which supports the business plan.
- Assist in recruiting, training, scheduling, coaching and managing the sales team to meet sales objectives.
- Implementation and management of the tactical sales & marketing plan.
- Responsible for determining marketing strategy, tactics and measurables.
- Reporting on a weekly and monthly basis on the performance of the sales department and market intel.
- Responsible for the management and maintenance of the CRM system.
- Liaises with sales reps to determine customer business requirements as well as the collection of customer intel as part of the CRM process.
- Identifies new opportunities, growth developments and improvements with existing and new customers.
- Ensures quality level of service to customers including customer satisfaction surveys.
- Being the link between the customer and the factory the incumbent is responsible for the management of the commercial activities of the customer process.
- Monitors business activity and presents Sales & Marketing techniques to sustain & exceed business activities.
- Representing the company at various trade shows and responsible for the marketing thereof.

Skills and Requirements
- A professional qualification in Marketing and Sales or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years in marketing & sales
- Understanding and knowledge of sales and marketing principles
- Management experience
- Strong analytical, organizational and thinking skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to process and analyze data as well as report writing.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Preference will be given to those with technical sales experience
