This role is ideal for an industry professional with proven transport broking experience, a strong network of contacts, and the ability to secure and manage high-value accounts. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, building client relationships, and shaping the company's market presence.Key ResponsibilitiesMinimum 5 years of experience in sales and marketing within the logistics/transport industryDevelop and execute sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue and market shareIdentify, engage, and convert new business opportunities in freight forwarding, transport, and logisticsLeverage industry network to secure new clients and partnershipsOversee transport broking operations to ensure profitability and efficiencyBuild, mentor, and lead a small sales team to meet objectivesManage client relationships with a focus on retention and service excellenceTrack market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunitiesCollaborate with executive management on strategic growth initiativesAbout YouProven background as a Transport Broker with strong commercial acumenEstablished network and client contacts in the South African logistics sectorExcellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skillsStrong leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a teamDurban-based or willing to relocate (remote work with Durban preference)Highly motivated heavy hitter with a track record of exceeding targetsAdvantageous: experience in freight forwarding, warehousing, and 3PL solutionsAdvantageous: tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, or LogisticsAdvantageous: bilingual in English & Afrikaans or Zulu
