One of South Africa's leading Hardware Wholesaler Distributor based in Johannesburg is looking for External Sales Representatives to join our amazing team. The individuals must be based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal and areas they will be targeting are Durban, Port Edward, Richards Bay, Pietermaritzburg, and Midlands.

**Requirements**:

- In-depth knowledge of the industry with own contacts
- Computer Literate
- Valid Driver’s Licence and own reliable vehicle;
- Energetic, creative, innovative and enthusiastic individual who has a **passion for sales;**:

- Proven track record of over-achieving quota;
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills;
- Strong administration, marketing and sales acumen
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- High levels of personal integrity
- Reliable and punctual
- Planning and organising skills
- Self-driven, results and target orientated
- Be able to work in a pressurised environment
- Willing to travel long distances where required

**Responsibilities**:

- Visiting clients on a regular basis
- Achievement of targets set for the area being serviced
- Ensuring relevant customer pricelists are up to date and done in a timeous manner
- Strong on business development by sourcing new sales opportunities,
- Appropriate technical expertise, sound sale background and ability to provide product support and customer service;
- Consultative seller, maintain and grow the portfolio;
- Sending of detailed daily call reports
- Driving and developing relationships with clients new and existing
- Marketing the range to said customer base through regional / or ad-hoc promotions
- Creating and developing a long-term plan of action and strategy for the allocated area
- Working together with internal sales to assist driving performance
- Identify prospects and risks and develop appropriate strategies for each client
- Analysing data and insights to determine consumer trends and increase sales
- Attend training where required to increase knowledge of new ranges and / or refresher course for existing product
- Planning and executing customer events that will drive and promote the business
- Analyse and develop appropriate reports

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R129,986.00 - R545,112.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Sales: 1 year (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (preferred)
