After Sales Technical Manager

Our client is hiring an **After Sales Technical Manager **to manage the technical department of their Foodservice Equipment business and drive their client relationships through excellent sales and Foodservice Equipment know-how.

**Location**: Stikland, Cape Town

**Schedule**: Monday - Fridays, 08:00-16:30 & every 2nd Saturday, 09:00-12:00

**Salary**: Market related and commensurate with experience

**Responsibilities**:
1. General:

- Manage and guide the technical department.
- General management of the workshop and after-service department.
- Keep records and report on work done, trends, stock of spare parts, etc.
- Assist with repairs and services on equipment where required.

2. Client Services & Administration:

- Prioritize repair queue and manage client expectations on turnaround time

3. Operations:

- Arrange call outs to clients for repairs and services on site.
- Make final decisions on repairs, costings, etc in line with our T’s and C’s.
- Technical fault diagnosis, repairs, maintenance, installations on-site, remotely or at customers' premises
- Read and comprehend wiring diagrams, follow manuals on operation and installation

4. Technical Advisory:

- Assist our sales & technical team with their technical questions and repair issues.

5. Parts:

- Procurement and management of spare parts, tools and workshop consumables.
- Communicating with suppliers regarding technical questions and spare parts.

**Minimum requirements**:

- At least 3 years of technical knowledge and experience with catering equipment
- Fluent in English
- Valid South African driver's license.
- Experience in a catering equipment sales position - advantageous
- Minimum of N3 in Electrical Engineering - advantageous
- Qualified Refrigeration Technician - advantageous
