Job Description - Operations Manager
The position includes:
- Operational Management of the business - Umhlanga based 4/5 days office
- KPI focus on: Retention of current staff, strengthening of management relationships, staff performance and company performance.
- Continued seamless onboarding of new hires into the team.
**Below is list of duties and responsibilities**
- Staff Management: o Regular 121s with all staff, in line with bi-annual UK appraisals, giving input into MF re: KPI achievements and staff performance. o Liaising with hiring managers and ensuring KPIs of various individuals and teams are met and strengthening of working relationships with all hiring managers across the group. o Managing team communication via: Huddles, WhatsApp groups, Teams groups and ensuring staff diaries are updated. o Liaising with central services of the businesses to ensure staff are able to work remotely into the UK with limited difficulties. o Strong performance management with all staff in multiple teams, identifying areas of weakness, under performance and ensuring PIP, Performance Management
Process is managed and structured.
- Onboarding of new hires - all associated processes and procedures: o Procuring of IT equipment and welcome packs. o Involved in recruitment of staff process with SR/MF o Liaising with hiring manager, new staff member, staff team and central services to ensure smooth onboarding of a new starter. o Day 1 orientation and setup. o Oversite and management of first 3 months of new hires MCG journey.
- Office Management: o Office cleanliness and setup
- ensuring the office is kept clean and in good working order. o Handling of all office related administrative tasks. o Procurement of office sundries, stationary, food, etc.. o Health and Safety - all associated processes and procedures. o Office insurance - all associated processes and procedures. o Department of labour regulations - all associated processes and procedures. o Oversite/ management of office equipment. o Management of office rotations
- Event management: o Organisation of quarterly and ad hoc business events/ functions.
- Office Culture: o Implementation of social activities, eg: Lunchtime activities, company socials, etc.. o Organisation of staff celebrations: Birthdays, special occasions, work achievements. o Oversite of company Giving Back initiatives: Building relationships with company charities and organising ways to for staff to assist these charities.
**Job Type**: Permanent
**Salary**: Up to R35,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
