  • Evaluate and present applications for funding and structure deals that contribute to unit objectives and industry development goals.
  • Perform financial and/or technical and/or marketing due diligence functions and ensure risk identification and mitigation.
  • Qualify candidates with relevant commercial or technical honors degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Assess candidates' knowledge and experience in due diligence disciplines, including marketing, technical, and financial.
  • Ensure timely conclusion of legal agreements and manage approved deals up to first drawdown.
  • Participate in due diligence teams and deal structuring, designing and negotiating financial, EHS, legal, and other relationships between clients and the organization.
  • Prepare and submit basic assessments and comprehensive credit proposals that meet the organization's funding requirements.
  • Maintain meaningful relationships with enquirers, applicants, and portfolio clients, and effectively interact with different SBU's and departments to fulfill process requirements related to business transactions.
  • Drive and manage own development to enhance own competencies and participate in knowledge sharing in the team and cross-functionally.

Requirements:

  • Relevant commercial or technical honors degree or equivalent qualification.
  • 5-8 years related experience, with 2-3 years in assessment and closing of transactions.
  • Declared competent in two due diligence disciplines (marketing, technical, or financial).
  • Grounded in one of the above due diligence disciplines.
  • Experience in interpretation of financial statements.
  • Sector-specific knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of financial products as used by the organization.
