CIB CPF Middle Office is currently looking for a Deal Manager whose role will be day to day management of deal implementation, specifically product onboarding, and payments as well as loan lifecycle management for a portfolio of clients.
This will include.
- Deal implementation and loan lifecycle management for a portfolio of property clients
- Review of reconciliations, month end procedures and review deal accuracy
- To partner with front office and support as part of the deal team to ensure effective deal implementation
**Job Description**:
Accountability: Business Management & General Control Execution (70%)
- Front office support: form part of deal team and participate in implementation as support to front office
- Client focus: where required liaise with clients working with front office and specialists teams eg Legal, Credit
- Financial modelling: ability to prepare sound financial models
- Funding: implementation and management of funding on deals
- Review of reconciliations, month end procedures
- Process Improvement: Analyse and identify gaps within processes to enhance efficiency and improve turnaround times and quality output
- Understand and manage risks and risk events (incidents) relevant to the role
Accountability: Stakeholder Management (20%)
- Develop and manage strong internal and external customers/stakeholder relationships to proactively anticipate, respond to and seek to exceed the expectations of internal customers and devise the best solutions for clients
- Active engagement and collaboration across the CPF value chain
Accountability: Projects/ Change (5%)
- Able to implement multiple projects and manage change
Accountability: People Management (5%)
- Management of a small team (0-3)
Education and Experience Required
- Preferably 5 to 10 years experience within the SA property market or Investment Banking loans middle office/transaction administration/documentation management/ product control experience
- Preferably 2-5 years ACBS system experience
- Commercial Degree preferable
Knowledge & Skills: (Maximum of 6)
- Understanding of the deal flow process and rationale behind procedures
- Loan product knowledge
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels
- Performance orientated and client service driven
- Control mindset
- Strong ACBS system knowledge
- Ability to manage and develop a small team
Education
Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
