Coordinating Operations Specialist

About the Job

AJ Personnel is seeking a skilled Coordinating Operations Specialist to oversee the day-to-day activities of our production department. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the activities of multiple teams, ensuring smooth production processes and meeting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective production schedules, taking into account factors such as material availability, equipment usage, and employee workload.
  • Allocate tasks to production teams and individuals, ensuring that each job is assigned to the relevant personnel with the necessary skills and resources.
  • Utilize project management tools to track and update the progress of ongoing production tasks, facilitating effective communication across departments.
  • Coordinate with the Stores Department to requisition necessary materials and components for production, adhering to specified time slots to maintain a streamlined workflow.
  • Implement a visual scanning system to track the progress of jobs on the production floor, allocating materials and components efficiently to ensure timely completion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, engineering, or operations management.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a production environment involving sheet metal.
  • Excellent technical/operational background, with intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Salary Estimate

R100,000 - R160,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
