Main Responsibilities:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for ensuring that customer needs are met along the customer journey, providing high-caliber service and experience to grow our client's On Trade in Bloemfontein. This involves working in line with a weekly schedule, collaborating with our local key distributor for the region, and overseeing national and regional key accounts based in Bloemfontein.

Key Objectives:

Develop and grow our client's On-Trade business, as well as national and regional key accounts based in Bloemfontein, to meet required sales KPIs. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the product and pricing portfolio, plan for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly trade effectiveness, and execute effective pricing, promotional, and incentive programs to achieve business sales and merchandising promotional activity goals.

Additional Responsibilities:

Grow brand reach by successfully negotiating and securing new listings, conduct quarterly business review/planning meetings with key stakeholders, and keep all key account, commercial, analytical, and other work-related administration updated. Develop the financial shape of your allocated customer base, source and grow new customers in the specified area with our distributor, activate required promotions, and execute marketing activities as needed.

Requirements:

This role requires solid sales experience, a valid driver's license, computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite), industry and product sales knowledge, commercial business acumen, and strong negotiation skills. The Business Development Manager must display self-motivation, a drive for results, excellent customer and peer relationships, customer centricity, a positive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, agility, and collaborative communication. Education and experience include a completed Grade 12, relevant Diploma/Degree, minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, and a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality and restaurant environment.
