The estimated annual salary for this role is between R700,000 - R1,200,000 depending on experience.

Job Description:

This position involves the administration of personnel data in payroll systems, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include processing payroll-related taxes, preparing payrolls, and transmitting payroll data to finance systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll-related taxes to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Prepare payrolls, including calculating hours worked and benefit deductions from timesheets and other records
  • Transmit payroll data to finance systems and issue payment files
  • Record changes affecting net wages, such as exemptions and tax directives
  • Prepare detailed reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions
  • Ensure changes registered in HR and operational systems are accurately reflected in finance systems
  • Update payment instruments and manage compensation benefits tasks
  • Ensure time, expenses, and benefits are accurately captured
  • Ensure all payroll tax data is compliant with regulations and legislation
  • Resolve payroll tax-related issues efficiently
  • Ensure timely completion of all tax payments, filings, and reconciliations
  • Conduct third-party payroll tax audits (External/Internal/SARS)
  • Escalate potential payroll issues promptly
  • Participate in periodic reviews of all payrolls to ensure compliance

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in administration and payroll, with a strong understanding of employee relations and performance management systems.
