We're looking for a highly skilled Lead Culinary Operations Manager to join our renowned culinary team at The Bay Hotel. This role plays a pivotal part in crafting exceptional dining experiences for our guests. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, presentation, and menu innovation that aligns with our brand's excellence. As a key member of our team, your responsibilities include supervising junior staff, maintaining safety and hygiene standards, managing inventory, and optimizing kitchen efficiency.

This leadership role requires a strong focus on quality, creativity, and effective communication. You will work closely with our Executive Chef to drive menu innovation and ensure consistency across all dishes.

About the Role:

A successful Lead Culinary Operations Manager supports the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency. They manage kitchen staff, coordinate food preparation, and assist in menu development. The role involves maintaining food safety standards, managing inventory, and ensuring kitchen workflows.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or Equivalent
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position in a 4/5-star hotel
  • Familiarity with hotel kitchen duties

Payscale: R650,000 - R850,000 per annum
