  • Stay up-to-date on luxury brands and related selling techniques.
  • Excel in communication and negotiation skills.
  • Possess a passion for selling a wide assortment of high-end jewelry and luxury products in a sophisticated retail environment aboard a luxury cruise ship.
  • Display strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak in public.
  • Drive results by consistently striving to overcome targets and revenue goals.
  • Follow directions and instructions from the LUXURY JEWELRY MANAGER or LUXURY JEWELRY ASSISTANT MANAGER, and adhere to the company's environmental policy, rules, and regulations at all times.
  • Take responsibility for stock management.
  • Maintain and control stock inventory according to receiving policy and procedures.
  • Ensure each item is in perfect condition and inform the superior of any damaged items.
  • Confirm all merchandise received onboard according to receiving policy and procedures.
  • Adhere to visual merchandise guidelines.
  • Inspect that merchandise is properly displayed and priced at all times.
  • Apply product knowledge, sales techniques, visual merchandise, and customer service skills.
  • Implement the daily working program for specific cruise itineraries to maximize passenger flow on the sales floor.
  • Apply knowledge and skill sets to maximize sales and productivity.
  • Operate cash registers, responsible for processing payments.
  • Welcome customers and help maximize selling opportunities.
  • Customize selling approaches to different guest targets.
  • Build relationships and trust with all guests to improve their shopping experience and increase opportunities for purchasing.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Consistently exceed selling targets.
  • Makes regular use of add-selling, cross-selling, and other known selling techniques.
  • Monitor levels of products in stock, receive and properly store products delivered with supervision, according to procedures, and in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate integrity and honesty in all interactions with guests and sales team.
Qualifications
  • Good PC skills using Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Preferably similar experience in other luxury brands or in a position involving contacts with VIP customers.
  • Previous experience on cruise lines is a plus.
  • Proficient speaking, reading, and writing skills in English and a fluent level in at least 2 of the following: German, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, Chinese.
  • Any other language is considered a plus.
