Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide total care of guests, their possessions, and their cabin, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Comply with MSC sanitation standards, including safe handling of food, water, and ice, and sanitizing procedures.
  • Offer professional, courteous, and friendly service to all guests, with a focus on guest recognition and personalized attention.
  • Sanitize and clean cabins to eliminate cross-contamination, following MSC sanitation procedures.
  • Perform deep cleaning projects as advised by the Housekeeper, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail.
  • Provide an 'Empty Cabin Report' after sailing on embarkation day, and participate in baggage transport as required.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 24 months of experience as a Cabin Steward on an internationally trading guest vessel, or 2 years as a Room Attendant in a high-standard international hotel.
  • Proven multi-operational skills in cruise ship housekeeping operations in a multinational environment.
  • High School Graduate and Certificate of good service in a specialized housekeeping training facility.
  • Demonstrated understanding of all MSC sanitation standards relating to housekeeping and food safety.
Documents Required:
  • Valid South African Passport
  • Police Clearance
