Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Floor Runner to join our team at MSC Cruises. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guests.

  • Linen and Towel Management: You will be responsible for maintaining a complete orientation of the ships linen and towel inventory, ensuring that all materials required to provide exceptional service to our guests are readily available.
  • Support to Cabin Steward: You will provide full support to the Cabin Steward, transporting clean and dirty linen/terry from guest cabin sections to the laundry and vice versa, as well as assisting with luggage loading and unloading services.
  • Guest Services: You will provide luggage loading and unloading services for guests, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience during embarkation and disembarkation.
  • Cabin Cleanliness: If required, you will assist the Cabin Steward with issues related to cabin cleanliness, working closely with the Housekeeper and Assistant Housekeeper to ensure exceptional standards.
  • Guest Laundry: You will assist the Cabin Steward with guest laundry personal cloth collection and delivery, ensuring that all items are handled with care and attention to detail.
  • Balcony Cleanliness: If required, you will assist the Cabin Steward in maintaining the cleanliness of cabin balconies, ensuring that all areas are spotless and well-maintained.
  • Waste Management: You will be responsible for sending any garbage from guests to the garbage room, ensuring that it is sorted according to company procedures.
  • Corridor Maintenance: When required, you will maintain the cleanliness of corridors in your section, ensuring that all areas are clear of housekeeping trolleys, vacuum cleaners, and other equipment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: You will be responsible for keeping your equipment and all cleaning equipment in good condition, ensuring that they are well-maintained and ready for use.
  • Luggage Transportation: If required by the Housekeeper, you will transport packed luggage to the assembly point on the night before disembarkation, as well as assist with delivering baggage to cabins for newly embarked guests.
Qualifications:
  • Languages: You must be fluent in oral and written English, which is the working and safety language of the company. Additionally, the ability to speak, read, and write in any major other languages is desirable.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience as an Assistant Room Attendant in a high-standard international hotel (4/5 stars) is required.
  • Education: A high school graduate is required.
  • Physical Fitness: You must be physically fit, with the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25kgs.
VISA & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid Passport: A valid passport with at least 6 months of validity before joining is required.
  • STCW95/2010 Certification: STCW95/2010 certification, including basic firefighting, personal survival techniques, elementary first aid, personal security and social responsibility, security awareness, and passenger ship familiarization, is compulsory before joining the vessel.
  • Good Health Declaration: A good health declaration, released by a recognized doctor, is mandatory before joining the vessel.
