We are seeking an experienced Retail Business Development Director to join our team at Sanlam Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth and revenue through the development and execution of a retail branch strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and customer service, with excellent leadership and communication skills. You will be responsible for guiding and integrating the activities of Sales Consultants, ensuring seamless service delivery, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with Area Managers to translate provincial strategies into effective retail branch plans. You will also contribute to business planning, manage operational costs, and develop incentive tactics to drive performance.

Your responsibilities will include developing and executing strategies to attract new clients, representing the branch at various events, and communicating sales targets and metrics to Branch Consultants. You will also monitor activities and identify areas for improvement, working with Branch Consultants to address issues and achieve targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow the customer base and revenue of Sanlam Retail Mass
  • Guide, integrate, and standardize the activities of Sales Consultants
  • Lead a service delivery culture and eco-system within and outside the branch
  • Assume responsibility for the successful day-to-day maintenance and management of the Retail branch
