Energy At Work is a dynamic organization dedicated to providing exceptional facilities management services. We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Operations Manager to join our team.

Job Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facilities, ensuring all systems function properly and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Operations: Manage and maintain building systems, including generators, water systems, and access control.
  • Service Provider Management: Supervise and coordinate with external service providers, such as concierge, garden maintenance, security, and contractors.
  • Vendor and Contractor Oversight: Approve and authorize work and payments for contractors, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • System Management: Maintain knowledge of building systems and ensure their smooth operation.
  • Building Maintenance: Collaborate with management and the Board to maintain the building's condition, meeting aesthetic, safety, and operational standards.
  • Customer Service and Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for building-related issues, communicating effectively with management, contractors, residents, and other stakeholders.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular checks and audits.
  • After-hours Work: Be available for after-hours work, responding promptly to emergencies or urgent matters.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prior experience in facilities management, property management, or building operations is preferred but not mandatory. Experience managing contractors, security, or other service providers will be advantageous.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of building systems, including generators, water systems, and access control.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with contractors, tenants, and management.
  • Professional Appearance: The ideal candidate will present themselves in a professional and well-groomed manner.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to oversee operations and ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Technology Proficiency: Comfortable with computers and basic software applications.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve issues quickly and under pressure, ensuring minimal disruption to building operations.
