Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Culinary Specialist to join our culinary team at JenRecruitment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled chef to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, creating high-quality meals for our patrons.

About the Role
  • This position involves preparing specific food items and meal components at your station, following directions provided by the head chef, and collaborating with the rest of the culinary team.
  • You will be responsible for keeping your area of the kitchen safe and sanitary, as well as stocktaking and ordering supplies for your station.
  • The ideal candidate will have past experience working in a similar role and possess excellent listening and communication skills.
Responsibilities:Chef de Partie Responsibilities:
  • Prepare specific food items and meal components at your station.
  • Follow directions provided by the head chef.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the culinary team to ensure high-quality food and service.
  • Keep your area of the kitchen safe and sanitary.
  • Stocktake and order supplies for your station.
  • Improve your food preparation methods based on feedback.
  • Assist in other areas of the kitchen when required.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Qualification from a culinary school.
  • Past experience working in a similar role.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of best practices for safety and sanitation.
  • Passion for delivering great food and service.
  • Multitasking and organizational ability.
  • Available to work shifts during weekends and holidays.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is R250,000 - R350,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive benefits such as paid time off, training opportunities, and a chance to work in a dynamic kitchen environment.
