Administrative Support Coordinator

Midvaal Recruitment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Coordinator to join our team.
The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to the General Manager, Principal, staff, and school community, ensuring the efficient operation of the school office in alignment with the school's Christian values and mission.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the General Manager, Principal, and staff.
- Reception Duties: Handle incoming calls, emails, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- General Administration: Maintain accurate records, files, and databases.
- Record Keeping and Data Management: Ensure timely and accurate data entry and record-keeping.
- Financial and Office Management: Assist with basic accounting tasks, manage office supplies, and maintain a secure and organized workspace.
- Christian Leadership and Communication: Uphold Christian principles in interactions with students, parents, staff, and visitors.
- Event Coordination: Organize and coordinate school events, conferences, and meetings.
- Health and Safety: Ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Admissions: Assist with admissions processes and procedures.
- Lost Property: Manage lost property and ensure it is returned to its rightful owner.
- Oversee Cleaning Staff: Supervise and coordinate cleaning staff to maintain a clean and tidy workspace.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of administrative or secretarial experience, preferably in a school setting.
- A committed Christian who actively practices their faith and aligns with the school's doctrinal statement.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
- Proficient in D6 Communicator.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Financial acumen for handling basic accounting tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to engage with diverse school community members.
This is a full-time position with occasional evening or weekend hours required for school events.
Occasional travel may be necessary to attend training sessions or school events.
