Job Title: Reservations Agent

The Royal Portfolio is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reservations Agent to join our team. As a key member of our reservations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, maximizing room revenue and occupancy levels, and upholding the high standards of our luxury properties.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate and timely information to trade partners, guests, and internal stakeholders regarding our properties and services.
  • Offer expert advice on our properties, activities, and guided experiences to enhance the guest experience.
  • Manage our inventory effectively, maintain relationships with trade partners and guests, and maximize sales and revenue from all channels.
  • Process deposits, cancellations, and commissions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain a well-organized office environment, ensuring all information is easily accessible to office staff.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years' experience in a reservations role in a luxury hotel, lodge, or head office environment.
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant subject, such as hospitality, tourism, or marketing, is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in OPERA (Property Management System) is essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Passion for the hospitality and service industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • A good understanding of luxury brands.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and high responsiveness.
  • High self-motivation and ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to complete tasks timeously and accurately.
  • Team player.

We are looking for a candidate who is a good cultural fit for The Royal Portfolio and can work effectively as part of a team. South African citizenship is advantageous, and a valid work permit is essential if you are not in possession of a South African ID document.
