Head of Marketing Opportunity

Liquid Thought, a leading payment aggregator and provider of market-leading payment solutions, is seeking a seasoned Head of Marketing to spearhead our marketing and branding efforts as we scale and diversify our offerings. This role will form part of our Management Committee and collaborate closely with key internal and external stakeholders to drive marketing strategies that support our business objectives, including expanding our core services and new product lines.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent marketing management and communication skills, bringing extensive experience in both B2B and B2C marketing. The incumbent will have the ability to manage multiple projects and function effectively in a complex and fast-paced environment. Furthermore, the individual should have the ability to ensure the ROI of marketing spend, negotiate contracts, and manage multiple service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the company's brand performance and develop marketing strategies to grow core and new services, including bill payments, e-commerce, and SaaS, as well as supporting geographical expansion.
  • Manage advertising, digital marketing initiatives, social media, PR, newsletters, and content updates.
  • Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to enhance our marketing approach.
  • Plan and manage events to promote the company.
  • Liaise closely with cross-functional teams and external service providers to align and execute marketing efforts.
  • Lead marketing campaigns, analyze performance, and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Manage marketing budgets and resources, ensuring effective allocation.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years' experience in a similar marketing role, with at least 5 years in a senior marketing role.
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree in Marketing.
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry (with a focus on the Payments industry preferred).
  • Driver's license.
  • Fluent in English (Afrikaans would be beneficial).
