Job Overview

As a Strategic Employee Relations Specialist at Jean Fowlds Consultancy, you will play a vital role in promoting a harmonious work environment and ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations Management: Manage relationships with unions and ensure that the company's treatment of employees is consistent with its core business values and objectives.
  • Comprehensive IR Service: Deliver a comprehensive industrial relations service to all business units, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Training and Development: Identify, train, and develop key employees on industrial relations-related matters, ensuring they have the necessary skills to manage labour disputes and grievances effectively.
  • Dispute Resolution: Investigate, recommend, and implement policies to minimize labour disputes and grievances, adhering to Industrial and HR legislation.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Manage and monitor industrial relations standards, providing monthly reports and analyses to senior management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of 5 years working in industrial relations within a manufacturing or factory industry, with a BSS in Industrial Relations or a similar field.
  • Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of the Labour Relations Act (LRA), Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), and main agreements/collective agreements. Proficient in job profiling and job evaluation, with negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as medical aid, retirement fund contributions, and annual leave.
