Business Development Manager for Environmental Growth

Job Description:
Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to drive growth in the environmental sector. This role will involve identifying and securing new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and contributing to the company’s success.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective business development strategies and plans to drive revenue growth in the environmental sector.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, both in South Africa and across borders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Collaborate with unit managers, geographic offices, and key account managers to ensure the correct expertise is applied to meet client requirements.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to clients in collaboration with unit managers and key account managers.
- Negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for all parties.
- Promote the company to prospective employees by heightening awareness of the company profile to attract talent, through effective digital media marketing campaigns.
- Establish links and build networks with tertiary institutions producing graduates that could find employment with the company.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company.
- Provide input and support for strategic planning and business development initiatives.
Requirements:
- Degree/Higher Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience in business development, with a track record of achieving targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and industry standards, not only in South Africa but also in the rest of Africa.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and partners at all levels.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and detail-oriented.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with experience using data analytics tools.
- Planning, organising, and execution able to identify opportunities and develop actionable plans to capitalise on them.
