About the Role

As a Senior FIT Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for designing and preparing travel itineraries in Southern Africa for FIT clients. You will ensure that each itinerary meets the client's brief, budget, needs, and capabilities.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Designing and costing leisure travel programs within our destination portfolio;
  • Coordinating with suppliers and managing bookings, planning, and execution of travel programs;
  • Invoicing clients for their travel programs;
  • Managing proposals, responding to inquiries, and maintaining smart quoting;
  • Attending daily stand-up meetings and practicing effective communication with clients, management, and team members.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A professional fluency in German;
  • A diploma or degree in Tourism, Hotel Management, or Events Management;
  • At least 5 years' experience in the travel industry or a similar environment;
  • Extensive knowledge of Southern African destinations, including South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique;
  • Working knowledge of the leisure travel industry;
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Knowledge of travel writing programs like WETU and Travelogic is an advantage.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $60,000-$80,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have the opportunity to work with a reputable Destination Management Company and contribute to the growth of tourism in Southern Africa.
