Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Leisure Travel Consultant to join our team at Intercon Recruitment.

Overview

The ideal candidate will have experience in leisure travel consulting, with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships with clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for consulting with clients to understand their travel needs, suggesting tailored travel solutions, and ensuring that all aspects of the travel process are handled efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consult with clients to understand their travel requirements and preferences.
  • Suggest and book travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, and other activities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to client inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • BUILD and maintain relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to remain competitive and knowledgeable about new destinations and travel options.
Requirements:
  • Galileo GDS fares and ticketing experience with a current valid Galileo GDS certificate and code.
  • Minimum of 5 years of outbound and inbound (international and domestic) leisure travel consulting experience.
  • Quicktrav experience & working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word & Outlook.
  • Extensive global product and geographical travel knowledge.
  • Attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Have experience in face-to-face, email and telephone selling.
  • Ability to manage time, multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Highly organised with strong admin skills and flexible with your working hours.
  • Work independently and within a team, without supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, reliable, honest, polite and professional with a friendly disposition.
  • Preferably having your own transport.
  • Traceable references, Clear criminal record & ITC. Matric.
Benefits:
  • Basic salary negotiable depending on Experience: R250,000 - R350,000 per annum.
