About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Centre (South Africa) (Proprietary) Limited - A78. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our customers, helping them to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to our cloud services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and effective support to customers via phone, email, and web/live chat channels.
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including development and sales teams, to resolve customer issues and improve support-related processes.
  • Develop and present training to new hires and other teams to improve knowledge and skills.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new tools and scripts to enhance support efficiency.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of network and operating system support experience.
  • 3+ years of virtualization, orchestration, and cloud computing experience.
  • 3+ years of database administration experience.
  • 3+ years of software development with object-oriented language experience.
  • 3+ years of continuous integration and continuous delivery experience.
  • 3+ years of information security and compliance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or 3+ years of technical support experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of network and operating system support experience.
