Job Title:

Functional HR Manager

Job Summary:

The Functional HR Manager will provide expert HR support to the Infrastructure - PPC Business Unit, serving as the primary interface between the Business Unit and the Centers of Excellence. This role will focus on delivering HR programs and services that align with the Business Unit's strategy, while also providing line management support to Business Unit Managers/Partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to Business Unit Managers/Partners on HR-related matters.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the Business Unit's goals and objectives.
  • Manage and coordinate HR-related projects and programs, including talent acquisition, talent management, performance development, learning and development, mobility, succession planning, organizational effectiveness, reward and recognition, and employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor and skills regulatory frameworks, including skills development, B-BBEE, and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other HR teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of HR services and programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Business Unit Managers/Partners, HR teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to Business Unit Managers/Partners to enhance their HR skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct regular HR audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these areas.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the Business Unit's goals and objectives.
  • Provide HR support to Business Unit Managers/Partners on HR-related matters, including employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree or diploma in a social sciences or management discipline, such as human resource management or industrial psychology.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in HR generalist roles, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in management-level HR roles.
  • Knowledge of HR methodologies, tools, and techniques, as well as the HR value chain.
  • Knowledge of HR strategy development and enablement, including emerging trends in HR and the use of HR tools and models to achieve results.
  • Knowledge of relevant labor and skills regulatory frameworks, including skills development, B-BBEE, and other relevant laws and regulations.
