Dining Steward/ess Job Description

Crew Life at Sea is seeking a skilled Dining Steward/ess to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests as they enter the dining area, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere.
  • Assist in seating guests and taking orders, ensuring timely and accurate service.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure all dining areas are clean and properly set up before, during, and after service, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels of supplies, such as cutlery, dishes, and linens, to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
  • Assist in the preparation of dining areas for special events or occasions, providing a unique and memorable experience for our guests.
  • Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, resolving issues in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food delivery, maintaining a high level of communication and collaboration.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong focus on customer service and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fine dining or hospitality setting, with a proven track record of providing exceptional service.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ability to obtain necessary travel documents and work permits, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
