Job Summary:

Phoenix Recruitment seeks an experienced Front Desk Supervisor to oversee guest services at a hotel in Stellenbosch.

Main Duties:
  1. Evaluate and improve guest service delivery, maintaining high standards.
  2. Supervise Guest Relations employees, focusing on personalized recognition and prompt responses.
  3. Manage Guest Relations processes, streamlining them for efficiency.
  4. Facilitate collaboration between departments for enhanced employee relations.
  5. Take on additional responsibilities as Guest Relations Officer and Night Auditor when needed.
  6. Regularly attend morning meetings to stay informed about ongoing operations.
  7. Design and implement effective rosters to ensure optimal staffing levels.
  8. Conduct training sessions for new Guest Relations Officers.
  9. Address guest inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  10. Train Guest Relations Officers on company policies and procedures.
  11. Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
Essential Requirements:
  1. A relevant degree or diploma, combined with a matric certificate.
  2. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working at a hotel front desk.
  3. A genuine enthusiasm for the hospitality industry.
  4. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Able to build and maintain professional relationships across diverse cultures and religions.
  6. Experience dealing with discerning clients is beneficial.
  7. Presentability is key.
  8. Honesty, adaptability, and accountability are essential traits.
  9. A warm, approachable, and professional demeanor is required.
  10. A commitment to punctuality and self-discipline is vital.
  11. Strong attention to detail is crucial.
  12. Basic computer and administrative skills are necessary.
  13. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights.
