Job Title: Customer Service Engineer I

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Engineer I to join our team. As a key member of our IT infrastructure support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our clients, ensuring seamless resolution of technical issues and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out advanced fault finding on desktops, laptops, and towers/servers, including replacing hard drives, upgrading memory, and logging calls with OEMs for technical support and resolution.
  • Perform a full range of tasks related to hardware support of fixed, mobile, remote, and terminal services devices, including adapting to new hardware and software introductions.
  • Log calls using RBCT internal systems and ensure that all services meet RBCT specifications.
  • Provide user desktop support assistance with adding printers, email assistance, internet proxy settings, scan to email setups on multifunction printers, USB access, printing issues, temp files cleanups, releasing blocked emails, and Windows updates issues.
  • Assist users with computer-related queries, install and setup office equipment, and provide support services to assist end-users in using Microsoft software at a basic user level.
  • Carry out periodic or as-and-when-required hardware and software audits by walkabouts through the plant, physically verifying equipment onsite and validating against the asset register.
  • Ensure that images are taken of all critical desktops annually and base images are made for desktops and laptops.
  • Keep up with technology and assess against the current environment, communicating findings to the RBCT contracts representative.
  • Execute projects and perform a full range of tasks related to the replacement or upgrade of existing hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of practical in-service delivery, desktop support, and generalist experience.
  • Grade 12, A+, and N+ qualifications.
  • Preferred qualifications include ITIL, mobility support, MCSE, and HP hardware certifications.
