Business Development Manager - Employee Benefits Solutions

Aon South Africa is looking for a Business Development Manager within our Employee Benefits division, working in a hybrid model. The primary responsibility of this role is to discover new business prospects, coordinate initial client engagements, and support the expansion of both new and existing revenue channels.

Key Responsibilities
- Actively seek out new business opportunities
- Generate new business and finalize deals based on referrals. Responsible for implementation and onboarding
- Cultivate professional expertise
- Apply company policies and procedures to address various challenges
- Maintain awareness of broader team/department strategies and client needs
- Network and promote the Group brand while establishing strong relationships within the Employee Benefits Services industry
- Identify future clients' needs and business drivers
- Prepare for future client interactions by conducting thorough research to understand their business
- Build a trusted rapport with prospective clients through effective questioning and influencing techniques.
- Collaborate closely with client management and bid management teams, involving them at the appropriate stages
- Manage the sales pipeline efficiently
- Meet budgeted revenue targets
- Work effectively in cross-functional teams

Skills and Experience Required for Success
Qualifications
- Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Must be registered as a representative with the Financial Services Board in accordance with the FAIS Act
- NQF5 Wealth Management / Healthcare experience (advantage) and Retirement fund consulting experience
Knowledge
- High level of technical knowledge to effectively articulate solutions to clients
- In-depth strategic understanding of industry and business strategies, as well as company objectives
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Word and Excel.

Experience
- Minimum of years' experience in a similar or related role in Healthcare and/or Retirement Funding
- Proven sales background with a solid track record

- Strong work ethic with the ability to perform effectively under pressure
