Senior Operations Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our team at Farm Manager SA. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and transportation operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage Business Strategy: Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Customer Management: Identify customer needs and provide excellent customer service to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Operations Management: Manage and optimize warehouse and transportation operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Financial Management: Manage financial aspects of contracts and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Human Resources: Manage and develop staff to ensure effective team performance and compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Warehousing, Transportation, and Logistics.
  • Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills.
  • Management and HR Skills: Excellent management and human resources skills.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Good understanding of accounting processes.
  • Industry Experience: 8-10 years of experience at senior operational level in the Warehouse and Transportation industry.
  • Legal Knowledge: Basic legal knowledge of contracts.
  • Problem Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Judgment and Decision Making: Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strategic Planning: Strategic planning capability.
  • Customer Management: Customer management and industry networking capability.
  • Occupational Health and Safety: Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act legislation.
  • Transportation Knowledge: Knowledge of vehicle and MHE applications by operation.
  • Financial Management: Knowledge of financial management principles.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain: Sound knowledge of the logistics and supply chain management environment.
  • Company Policies: Understanding of Company Disciplinary and Grievance procedures.
  • Transportation Requirements: Own transport and willingness to travel.
