Job Title: Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. Our organization is a leading international freight forwarder and consolidator in Cape Town, with a strong reputation for excellence in the industry.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in shipping and logistics, with a strong understanding of shipping software programs such as Shipshape and Pastel. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing arrival notifications, invoicing, shipment tracking, and preparing shipping status reports. Additionally, they will provide exceptional customer service, including internal sales and communication with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process arrival notifications and prepare shipping status reports
  • Invoice clients and manage payment processing
  • Track shipments and communicate with clients regarding shipment status
  • Provide exceptional customer service and internal sales support

Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in shipping and logistics
  • Strong understanding of shipping software programs such as Shipshape and Pastel
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
