Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Preparation: Prepare a wide range of baked goods following MSC approved recipes.
  • Dietary Requirements: Produce alternative bakery products for guests with specific dietary needs, such as fat-free, salt-free, and sugar-free options.
  • Quality Control: Ensure high standards of bread and bread products, including portion and quality control.
  • Safety Protocols: Follow all food safety protocols in the bakery department, in compliance with MSC Food Safety Standards.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, with a focus on minimizing food spoilage.

Qualifications:

  • Language Skills: Proficient English, oral and written skills.
  • Experience: Proven successful experience for at least 2 contracts in a similar position in a major hotel operating under International Food Safety Standards, Bakery, or a cruise ship.

  • Valid Passport: A valid South African Passport.
  • Police Clearance: A Police Clearance certificate.
