Senior Lecturer in Building and Human Settlements Development

Nelson Mandela University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Lecturer in Building and Human Settlements Development to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, developing, and facilitating the acquisition of knowledge and skills by learners at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching, instruction, guidance, and facilitation of learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Assisting and supporting students in their learning
- Refining and developing new learning programmes and modules
- Professional development of teaching practice and reflecting on the impact of teaching practices on student learning
- Research and creative works, including the creation of new knowledge through own research, contributing to departmental research output, supervising postgraduate students, and working on the frontiers of a discipline to advance understanding
- Academic engagement, including actively contributing to the work of the university, using professional expertise to advance understanding and solve problems, and participating in departmental administration
- A relevant Doctoral degree and, where appropriate, professional registration and four years academic or related experience
- Peer-reviewed accredited publications
- Experience in university-level teaching and research
- Experience in supervising and successfully completed Honours, Masters, and/or doctoral candidates
- Professional registration or eligible for professional registration
